ALMASHREQ: The Mirova River faces the risk of being turned into a sand quarry

Kataeb: In a statement, “Earth Association – Lebanon” warned of “the risks of works planned to be carried out in the bed of the Mirova River under the pretext of clearing the river,” considering that “such works could, in the absence of strict environmental and legal oversight, turn into excavation and extraction operations for sand and gravel, and the depletion of resources…”
