THE BIGGER PICTURE

Read widely.
Understand quickly.

LebaneseInsider brings reporting from across Lebanon into one quiet, ad-free reading experience.

Many sources, visible differences

We collect from a range of national, regional and political publishers. Reports about the same specific event can be grouped, with links to the original articles. Inclusion is not endorsement, and several outlets repeating a claim do not make it independently confirmed.

English coverage from Arabic reporting

Arabic editions can publish earlier and more extensively. We use an AI translation service to translate Arabic headlines and short attributed excerpts into English. Translations are queued in the background and labelled. Original-language reporting remains available with links to the publishers. They can contain mistakes; consult original reporting for consequential decisions.

What matters now

The front-page briefing selects reporting from the past 24 hours using explicit signals: relevance to Lebanon, publication time, subject and the number of outlets covering an event. It does not assert that a claim is verified or that popularity makes it true. The Latest updates view keeps publication order. Closely matching reports can share an event page and reporting timeline; ambiguous reports remain separate. The briefing uses attributed source excerpts, rather than generating new factual claims.

How fresh is the news?

Each publisher is checked at most once every 30 minutes for new article links. Checks are staggered across the source list. A story may therefore take up to a collection cycle, plus processing time, to appear. Our source coverage page shows successful collections and failures.

Corrections and source rights

Source revisions can update a story, with earlier summaries retained in its coverage history. For corrections or removal requests, open an issue in our project. Do not post private personal information. Images are displayed only for sources whose image use has been enabled by the operator.

Privacy and notifications

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, traffic sources and how the site is used. It can store analytics cookies and send visit and device information to Google. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. Publisher icons and enabled article images load from publisher servers, which may receive your browser's network information. If you enable notifications, we store the browser push endpoint, encryption keys and your selected language, topic and frequency. You can remove that subscription from the notification settings. Delivery uses your browser vendor's push service. Your browser may require installing this site on the home screen before enabling notifications.
